....... this weekend
But I can't name them because of the main forum jinx
Well then PM me w-thumbs!^
Btw bud, just got back from my Vegas birthday trip. Was there 5 nights due to 2 flight cancellations. As for the "vibe" that you often ask about, this was not a good trip for that. Stayed at Venetian for the first 3 nights and Red Rock for the final 2. Venetian was relatively quiet on Saturday night. Palazzo was empty with the exception of maybe 2 people playing machines. We went over to the Wynn and they were checking everyone coming into the building for concealed weapons and drugs. Very strange, but apparently there have been a few shooting on the strip so they were being cautious. Extremely dead there also.
All restaurants require reservations and can seat no more than 25%. We reserved a burger place at the Venetian for 8pm. We arrive at 755 and are told they would send us a text when our table was ready. 50 minutes later we finally get a text. We were taken to our table and were told the server would be with us shortly (no sorry for the wait or anything like that). My wife wanted to go to Circa to watch the games on Sunday but I told her I'd prefer to check it out another time and we went to Red Rock. Sports book wasn't busy but it was still difficult to find seats due to the 25% capacity limit. They were actually busier than the strip. Monday was slower and Tuesday was downright eerie. Came downstairs to the Venetian and they had maybe 5 tables open. I decide to go across the street to the Mirage. The walk signal says it's 77 seconds until my light turns green. But then I look in each direction and I can't see a single car on Las Vegas Blvd for at least 2 blocks in each direction (I've never experience that before). When I walk into the Mirage, which is a pretty damn big casino, they have a total of 5 people in the pit with 3 tables open. I'm thinking this can't be real. So I walk around the casino and there is nothing else open and a grand total of 3 customers. I go across the street to Harrahs after that and it's similar with maybe 7 customers. Just unreal.
Red Rock was moderate on Wed and Thurs mostly because of promotions they had going on (Senior Wed and 10x points on Thursday). Admittedly, December is always a quiet time of year but this was a little over the top. They've been slammed with the virus lately and pretty much everything is on high alert. Not an exciting time for the casinos. With that said, one of the dealers told me Vegas has been one of the most popular places in the country to move to and that the market was booming.
